Phoenix-7

he/him/his

Phoenix-7 is a warlock who is the canonical Young Wolf among my guardians. During the events of him being Risen, entering the Black Garden, defeating Crota, Oryx, Skolas, SIVA Splicers, then Red War, he was in another exo body, whose name he found etched into the metal was Nova-3. He discovered a Clovis Bray research facility where he found a masculine body he wanted to inhabit, and through few resets and a lot of luck, he became Phoenix-7, while his ghost took the name Nova. (one canon divergence from canon YW is that his ghost has feminine voice). He forgot about a lot of his heroic deeds due to the resets, and feels conflicted about people mentioning things before Red War with him in it.

He accomplished most of these victories with his main fireteam of John the titan, and Ashe the Hunter. Him and Ashe dated briefly before she decided to join the awoken in Dreaming City and stay there to help, abandoning Vanguard. He completed the raids with help of various friends such as Sai, Silver, Pepsi, Nessa-7, Jamie, Hrefna, Phoebe, Alfredo, Guinevere, Azalea, Merle, Tapioca-3...

Personality wise, he is friendly, helpful and warm, and very bisexual and poly. He married Shaxx when he offered his bow, the Vow, and later when Misraaks came back, started a relationship with him too. Him and Crow are casually dating too. In short time on Neomuna they had, they shared a small connection with Rohan. He tries to eat lunches at tower with Shaxx every day. He does not visit crucible often anymore, so they have to find ways to meet.

He prefers to fight from distance, favouring snipers and pulse rifles, and is exceptionally good at jumping. With Contraverse Hold/Osmiomancy and Discipline maxxed out, he's almost never out of grenades, and prefers to not use his super often. (it's not that he forgets. he prefers)

Nastya

she/her/hers

Nastya is the New Light baby, she's recently Risen and ready to do chaos. She awoke during events of House of Salvation, and learned stasis along with Light abilities. She was under wing of John, and he is her mentor. She's short (5'1 / 155cm) lesbian and is getting together with a fellow hunter named Calypso...

She prefers close range combat, one-two punch shotguns and melees, and will do any challenge for the fun of it.

Fun fact: she can only read russian alphabet. She's slowly learning english.

John

he/him/his

John is a titan that has been living in the Tower for quite some time, serving whatever Vanguard or friends asked him of, filling in roles and willing to adapt to anything. He's skilled and hard-working, never complained, but it never felt like that was all there is. He trained with and helped Phoenix during his early days, and though he did not remember him when he returned different one day, they became friends all over again.

Until, one day, when he was relaxing with the fireteam after a successful raid, a seemingly friendly Eliksni Captain walked into the bar, and threatened the team. He took him to the ground and upon realizing this Eliksni was attempting to be friendly, he quickly backed off. With new purpose of helping him survive, and new feelings collecting at his heart, his journey with Bastaardiks started. Read about it here!

While Bastaardiks was sent to prove himself to Vanguard, he got assigned a newbie, Nastya, whom he became mentor for as they both learned how to control Stasis.

Bastaardiks

Originally made for a DnDestiny oneshot, Bastaardiks lives on as Vanguard Guardian. He is an eliksni, once of House of Kings, that was Risen by a ghost he now calls Cat.

He son of Kell, and was to be the next Kell of Kings, before vandals and dregs stabbed him. To their surprise, they found him walking around the base next week again, and with help of his new Ghost, he attempted to live normal among eliksni, despite him forgetting quite literally everything. Cat had to learn to speak Eliksni however, as he is only slowly learning English.

He got exiled eventually, and the house got wiped out, and he found himself feeding on random servitors with raiding parties he could find, and helping with vanguard patrols from shadows. When John overpowered him at the inn, he instantly caught feelings, and while he tried to run away, he eventually got really close with John, who brought him back to the Tower, and talked Zavala into inducting him to the Vanguard.

During Misraaks' return with the House of Light, he jumped on the opportunity to help Eliksni, and became personal guard of the Kell. He would stay up all night watching the new district of the City, and would overwork himself. During one mission with John on Luna, he found a stray vandal that was abandoned by his party. He talked John into bringing Virksis home and build servitors for him on his ship, eventually getting him one small enough to protect him from shadows, and not be shot immediately. He got help of Sai for this.

Virksis

A vandal, no light to be found on him. Just a little guy. He was found by Bastaardiks on Earth's Moon, brought to the House of Light, and was given a small servitor he named Knight. He's good friends with young Eido, sometimes wondering if there oculd be somehting more...

Nevaeh

she/her/hers

Nevaeh is a titan, an outcast that never worked for Vanguard. She was Risen with memories of her past, and she dedicated her life to researching them. She found out about her family's history and happened to meet one of her ancestors. Jonathan Huds was a name she saw on tombstones from 1900s, and the only memory of him that survived the generations was that he was gay. She, being a trans woman took this information to heart and held it dear. She was quite shocked to find him as Guardian, and not so shocked to find he had a husband.

He was like a hero to her, knowing he worked to achieve Space Travel before Traveler, she attempted to finish his job, and died.

She was one of the original Yang Liwei passengers, she joined with her family including her parents and younger sibling named Vetle. After the awakening she was an Eccaleist who believed in words of Diasyrm, and she fought and died in Theodicy War. Vetle, her sibling, survived and they felt like they owe a debt to their family for dying for such causes, so they carried their family back from Distributary and planned to bury them on Earth. After arriving back to regular universe, Skatthie was Risen by a ghost as soon as possible. The ghost (later named Vetle after her sibling, but she didn’t remember the reason) believed her to be a savior and steady hand to fight back the remaining warlords, and help the City.

But she wasn’t risen the way the guardians usually are, for her feelings about betrayal from queen Alis Li, the memories of her being human, and turning into an Awoken aboard the ship were so strong, she still seethed with rage and disappointment enough to recall her life before death. She did not know why she’s not in Distributary, nor could she remember her family, so she fled. She fled to Earth, to a familiar place, after travelling around Mars, Mercury and Venus, and other previous homes of Traveler, but she only felt at home on Earth, with the terraformed and completely changed Denmark, where she was born. Her steady hand was true, and she became a warlord, quite late for her time, but cruel and not caring. She hated Traveler for resurrecting her, and she hated him for interfering with Yang Liwei, and she hated Mara Sov for the way awoken were born, and for the lies about eccaleism and Alis Li.

She refused the Traveler and his Light, only learning bare minimum to survive, she never mastered a subclass or element. She was risen with a burning sword in her hand, and it was the only weapon she used for years. She then learned invisibility from hunters, she altered the titan shield to become a burning shield with her sword, and she learned to consume void from other warlocks, but she never needed them as her fire was strong enough.

After being confronted by Iron Lords, Felwinter the Oathbreaker including, she modified her ghost to have “less personality” and left for Europa. She met the House of Salvation there, and appealed to them, proving herself in combat and in will, and was given Stasis power behind Eramis’ back. Atraks, her friend, helped her master it, and she felt like the ice was the only element she needed to wield, so she abandoned her Light. She has learned stasis abilities of all classes.

After House of Salvation was slain by Young Wolf (Phoenix-7), she lived in various Riis-Reborn's frozen, crumbling buildings with help of another runaway warlock, Nilinia. She learned news about Mara Sov returning, and she sought out stronger power. She killed and tortured hive wizards to learn their songs and magic, and carved hive runes straight into her bones to be able to control it, and then gave her heart to a hive worm. She froze this worm so it would not hunger. She still feeds it light of Lightbearers and their ghosts if she can get her hands on it.

Ultimately, she does not believe all Guardians should die and does not seek their end, but she will not answer or bow to the Traveler.
